Episode 2 – How to Intergrate Social Media into Your Overall Marketing

Do you feel like your social media efforts are a bit all over the shop?

Are you struggling to make your social media posts stand out and get noticed online?

Screen Shot 2014-11-12 at 7.52.51 PMIf you answered “YES” to the above 2 questions, have no fear episode two is here!

On today’s episode we get to chat with Award Winning Winery Owner, Lyndsay Sharp from Jack Rabbit Vineyard.

Lyndsay shares with us her strategic approach to social media and gives us the low down on how to create your own secret social media sauce.

We’ve got a great tech tool, to share later in the show that will ensure you never miss an important message, ever again, whilst you’re offline, (even when you’re having a sneaky wine or two down at Jack Rabbit!)

But first, sit back and enjoy episode 2 of SME TV!

Ok so what did we learn from this week’s episode:

  1. Your social media needs to be integrated into your overall marketing communication strategy, it doesn’t sit in isolation. For example it needs to integrate with your website and traditional marketing activities.
  2. You need to know who your target market is, or as Lyndsay puts it “ who your target publics are” Once you know that, you then need to research how they like to receive information, is it in pictures on Instagram as an email newsletter or as a post on Facebook.
  3. You need to have a point of difference, some kind of secret sauce to gain cut through, being vanilla won’t cut it!
  4. Use it or lose it! You can’t just set up your social media profiles and expect them to grow and prosper without managing and maintaining them on a regular and consistent basis.

Well that’s it from SME TV this week. We sincerely hope you gained some valuable social media tips that you can apply immediately into your business.

We’d love to hear from you. What learning’s from this episode are you going to apply, in your business?
